"Pindrop(red)"
a solo exhibition by Sudaporn Teja,
⏰open from April 26 to June 15, 2025.
This abstract mixed-media exhibition invites viewers to explore the unseen shifts and emotional reverberations hidden within silence and subtle transformations. Inspired by the Thai idiom "silent as a pin drops," the works delve into the fragile boundaries between motion and stillness, presence and absence.
Through a unique dual installation, Sudaporn captures two pivotal moments in time:
Vertical plane: Artworks are hung at human eye level, representing the ongoing moment of falling — a process that is unfolding, vibrating with tension and uncertainty.
Horizontal plane: Works are placed from a bird’s-eye perspective, portraying events that have concluded — the object has reached the ground, marking the end of its journey and the echo of its final impact.
The exhibition space immerses visitors in an emotional landscape where subtle vibrations and silent shifts become tangible. Standing among the works, viewers experience a delicate awareness of becoming part of the change itself — something that can be deeply felt, yet difficult to articulate.
"Pindrop(red)" also highlights the relationship between visual art and music. Each piece is a visual interpretation of The Art of Fugue (BWV 1080), the unfinished final composition by Johann Sebastian Bach.
The paintings are presented alongside a video installation featuring a 1950 organ performance of the incomplete Fuga a 3 Soggetti by Fritz Heitmann, weaving sound and silence into the experience.
🔴 Join us for the opening reception on Friday, April 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM at VS Gallery, Bangkok.
