As part of our offsite programming at Baan Thewes, Nova Contemporary is pleased to present I Remember, Therefore I Am, a solo exhibition of new works by Channatip Chanvipava.

Channatip Chanvipava (b. 1993, Bangkok) is a Thai artist currently based in London. His latest body of work reflects the rich interplay between his experiences in London and his Thai-Chinese heritage, inviting viewers into a deeply personal narrative shaped by cultural influences and lived experiences. Chanvipava transforms memories and mental imagery into abstract compositions, revealing recollections and emotional landscapes of his homeland. Through these explorations, Chanvipava prompts engagement with memory, identity, and self-hood, ultimately creating a resonant dialogue that transcends individual experience.
His recent solos exhibitions include Wizards of Omaha, Ronchini Gallery, London (2024); The Sound of Many Waters, Roman Road at Dimora Ai Santi, Venice (2024); Spirit Unravelled, Monti8, Latina (2023); and 2 Chairs, 1 Life, Roman Road, London (2023). He has been included in group exhibitions such as It’s the End of the World, Let’s Dance, Ames Yavuz, Singapore (2025); WE ARE THE FUTURE: Knocking on Heaven’s Door, curated by Marisa Bellani at Christie’s, London (2024); City Escape, Monti8, Latina (2023); From Here to Here, Nova Contemporary, Bangkok (2023); and When I Was Walking on the Edge of a Teacup, Roman Road, London (2023). Chanvipava recently completed an artist residency at Dragon Hill Residency in Mouans-Sartoux, France (2024).
