“Diversity” – the first solo exhibition by Nawat Cubic, an artist who has embraced his differences since childhood.

From a young age, Nawat perceived the world in a unique approach—ordinary sights would fragment in his mind into striking geometric forms. Yet, when he translated these visions onto canvas, his work stood out as different from that of other artists. It was through this realization that he discovered his artistic identity: Cubism—a movement pioneered by the legendary Picasso. Inspired by this revelation, Nawat made it his lifelong mission to document the world through Cubist interpretations, painting until his very last breath.

In “Diversity”, Nawat draws from his personal experiences—his distinct perception of beauty and the cultural richness he has encountered through collectors from diverse backgrounds. This exposure led him to ponder: What makes our world so intricate and multifaceted? History revealed the answer—human actions shape the complexity around us. These reflections have materialized into over 16 contemporary Cubist paintings, celebrating the beauty of human diversity—be it in culture, ethnicity, or belief—through the vibrant expressions of traditional attire that define individual identity.

Nawat believes that while we may differ in many ways, it is precisely these differences that make the world radiant and meaningful. In the end, diversity is the very essence of beauty, binding us all together. Beyond being his debut solo exhibition, Diversity also marks another milestone for Nawat—his first-ever 6 meter paintings, the largest he has ever created.
