A photograph can be more than just an image. It can be an object, a trace, a memory, and a symbol of time. The reality we perceive through our eyes is often just a fragment of a larger story, for what lies within emotions and sensations can reveal a deeper meaning beyond what is visible.
The exhibition "Merely Encountering the Evident" does not simply present photographs; it expands the boundaries of perception through artistic processes rooted in photography. The artists in this exhibition do not merely document moments or events; instead, they use photography as a medium to question time, memory, and the significance of what appears before us.
Through various approaches-compositional arrangements, temporal layering, surface manipulation, and the integration of other media-these works move beyond the traditional role of photography as a tool for recording. Instead, they open up a space for independent interpretation.
Step into a space where perception is fluid, where what the eyes see is only a gateway to what the mind can sense. This exhibition encourages you to question the nature of what is visible and what remains hidden, using photography as both a medium and a foundation for interpretation.
