Galileoasis Presents ‘Encyclopedia’—A Solo Exhibition by nnene.iie
Galileoasis proudly presents Encyclopedia, the second solo exhibition by acclaimed illustrator and graphic designer nnene.iie. Running from April 5 to April 28, 2025 (closed on Tuesdays), "Encyclopedia" is a visual documentary that captures everyday objects and surroundings in black and white. The title "Encyclopedia" reflects nnene.iie’s habit of drawing everything around her as a way to understand and define the world. Through intricate line work, bold contrasts, and carefully considered textures, nnene.iie distills the world into its fundamental elements, offering a fresh perspective on the familiar. By breaking down reality into its simplest visual components, the exhibition invites viewers to find meaning in overlooked details and embrace the beauty of simplicity.
With an artistic career spanning multiple countries, nnene.iie’s work has been exhibited in Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, and China. She was also awarded the Most Popular Artist title at the Shenzhen 100+ Art Fair in China, won multiple awards at the Bangkok Illustration Fair, and was a guest speaker at the Illustration Arts Fest in Singapore, further solidifying her reputation as a leading figure in contemporary illustration.
About the Artist
nnene.iie is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Bangkok, Thailand. Her work is rooted in the visual language of everyday life, where she carefully arranges ordinary imagery into distinctive compositions incorporating handwritten text and lettering. Passionate about drawing with black pens on paper, she continuously explores various techniques to create both personal and commercial works. Inspired by the objects and spaces she encounters daily, nnene.iie’s artistic practice is a means of capturing the beauty and intricacies of the world around her, transforming them into visual narratives that encourage deeper appreciation and discovery.
