Belief Interweave
Inspired by the iridescent beauty of jewel beetle wings, which have been used for centuries to adorn clothing and jewellery in various cultures, the artist noticed that these materials had not been used in weaving. Thus, he researched, experimented, and developed jewel beetle wing materials for textile art. The artist conveys content, colours, atmosphere, and shapes derived from research on architecture and murals in temples across several provinces. These elements were analysed, blended, simplified, and synthesised into the concept of "faith." The works are handwoven, incorporating techniques inspired by the weaving of tung (ceremonial flags) and the creation of manuscript wrappings.
