Alliance Française Bangkok and the Seelinger Arts Foundation, in partnership with Théâtre des Invités, present A Yowl at Mr. Sloop’s, a touching and absurd comedy, written by Bernard Leroux in 1979. Performed in French on February 7 and 8, 2025, this monologue is brought to life by Agnès Seelinger, an accomplished actress, director, and producer. The performance is surtitled in English, ensuring accessibility for all.

M. and Mme Sloop never had children—a void that consumes their lives and strains their relationship. Their bitter daily existence is punctuated only by quarrels, until one evening a terrifying roar interrupts their argument. A tiger appears in their hallway. Alexine, their pragmatic and endearing housemaid, recounts this extraordinary encounter in her testimony at court. With humor and charm, she delivers a quirky and irresistible story, suitable for audiences aged 8 and up.

Agnès Seelinger’s exceptional performance brings to life all the colorful characters—including M. and Mme Sloop, Alexine, the tiger, a zookeeper, a butcher, and many more—in a masterful one-woman show.
