Principal Supporter: Seacon Development Co., Ltd.
Media Partner: GroundControl, Bangkok Art City
Additional activities: Art workshop
This exhibition aims to communicate the beauty and richness of ecosystems while signaling the urgent changes that are occurring, grounded in the belief in the power of art and the spiritual value of harmonious coexistence.
It presents the voices of marginalized groups who have been forgotten or treated unjustly, including three ethnic groups and stories from the communities in the areas of Chana and Thepha, as well as the people living along the Mekong River, who are facing food insecurity and loss of livelihoods due to large state projects. The artworks in this exhibition narrate the stories of these special groups, who have become citizens hidden in the shadows of silence in society.
The artists use art as a medium for expression, to create identity, and to nurture their dreams and spirits, allowing them to persist. “The Voice from Emptiness” is the second exhibition following “Then the World Will Stop Listening to Us II,” which was held at Songkhla Art Gallery from June 25 to July 19, 2024.
This exhibition will be showcased again as part of the special BACC pop·up project in Exhibition Room 3, 3rd floor, MAD Manman Srinakarin at Seacon Square Srinakarin.
When: 23 November - 22 December 2024
Location: BACC pop⋅up, Gallery 3 3rd Fl., MMAD, MunMun Srinakarin at Seaconsquare Srinakarin
