The environment needs us, and we need it. Yet, despite climate initiatives, environmental degradation persists, and we adapt.
The exhibition *Sinking and the Paradox of Staying Afloat* reflects the paradox of preserving nature while contributing to its destruction. It explores the effects of climate change on water systems and the balance between survival and environmental collapse.
Focusing on Southeast Asia, particularly the Mekong River, the exhibition addresses rising temperatures, flooding, and shifting seasons that threaten biodiversity, agriculture, and urban life. Through a range of mediums—video, mixed media, recycled materials, and installations—the artists highlight the urgency of collective responsibility in tackling environmental crises.
The exhibition invites viewers to question: Can we survive through ongoing destruction, or is it too late?
