Matdot Art Center proudly presents the exhibition "Pattern, Colour, Space" by artist-in-residence Elle Munro, offering a contemporary reinterpretation of grid patterns in modern art. Drawing inspiration from Thai textile motifs and geometric forms, Elle creates vibrant and dynamic compositions that blur the boundaries between two and three dimensions.
By combining traditional Thai weaving patterns with intricate geometric designs, the artist explores fluid, non-static spaces, crafting complex textures that connect historical and scientific paradigms. This interplay highlights the relationship between two seemingly distinct frameworks, unveiling their hidden connections.
The "Pattern, Colour, Space" exhibition will be open to the public free of charge from 16 December 2024 to 12 January 2025 at Matdot Gallery, Matdot Art Center, located on Lan Luang Road, Pom Prap Sattru Phai District, Bangkok. The opening ceremony will take place on Monday, 16 December at 6:00 PM, with an artist talk scheduled earlier in the day at 3:00 PM. Don’t miss this exciting exploration of art and culture!
