In an era where everyone has ample platforms for communication and the ability to share stories rapidly, we may seem to have more opportunities to express our individuality. However, the inner state of the mind often remains an abstract realm that cannot be fully articulated through straightforward words or actions. The mental space of each individual is complex and difficult to explain, often defying simple communication of thoughts, happiness, sorrow, memories, or intricate emotions.
This complexity is the inspiration for the exhibition “Only Me : Another Me” by Nuttakarn Vajasut, inviting viewers to explore the inner state of mind through printmaking works using the lithograph technique , gel print technique that trace the emotional states and feelings arising from various experiences—whether good or bad, joyful or sorrowful. The works create an imaginative space for releasing these emotions, preventing stress and pressure from escalating further. Additionally, the exhibition serves as a means of reflecting on life’s events and learning to understand one’s own mind.
