Mentally, Monumentality

An Exhibition by Toxicfication at BRUT artspace (Ari, Bangkok)

22 November 2024 - 31 January 2025

Who controls the arts, controls politics and history? An exhibition ‘Mentally, Monumentality’ presents the new technological driven installation by the artist ‘Toxicfication’. His human-like sculpture at the center of the concrete block transforms our brain waves, captured by the EEG (Electroencephalography) machine, into an abstract form of light, interacting with the surroundings.

With the machine learning artificial intelligence, the shattering and constructing architectural space, the monument as an empty signifier, and the crystal of the fragile mentality — reflect the contesting thoughts of art — as a ideological state apparatus, as a tool for human potentiality, and as a virus, deconstructing their body.

About the artist

Kagesak Sa-artsri, aka 'Toxicfication' is an experimental artist who integrates different methods of creating, such as music, 3D printing, programming, and hardware engineering, with his creativity to create his deeply conceptual artworks. His works focus on experimentality and the contesting quality to the traditional notion of art, to provoke the engaging mind of the audience.

This installation presents a human-like sculpture connected by wires and EEG brain waves detector, symbolizing the relation of mind, body, and technology.
